Reagan on the $50 Bill?
A proposal by Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC) to print the portrait of former president Ronald Reagan on $50 bills has divided views in the United States, a new Angus Reid Public Opinion poll has found.
Overall, 41 percent of respondents support the initiative to place Reagan’s face on the $50 bill, while 39 percent oppose the plan.
Women, interestingly, are more likely to support the proposal (39% support it, 35% oppose it) while men are pretty much evenly divided (44% support it, 42% oppose it).
60 percent of Republicans, 43 percent of Independents and 33 percent of Democrats support the bill. Seems about right.
